Organized by DFW Pup Patrol Rescue

04/16/12 - 04/18/12
All, as many of you know, this last Monday evening ourprecious little Lucas was brought to the emergency clinic by his wonderfulfoster mom Kathy. It was a very long fewdays! Bless both their sweet angelichearts!!! Lucas, still so very young andsmall, was at the emergency room from Monday, 04/16 until Wednesday, 04/18. Forquite some time now he has had an object lodged at the base of his esophagus atthe entrance to his stomach for quite some time now. Kathy reported he was notwanting to eat or drink since Friday and was now lethargic. She quicklyresponded and took him to emergency. They gave little Lucas a pain injectionfor his neck and took x-rays. His neck was fine, but that is when they noticedsomething not right in his esophagus. They proceeded to start him on iv fluidsand put a scope down to observe and then continued with removing the object. The extracted object was so rotted they can only guess, but it appeared to be arawhide object. Whatever it was it hadbeen there since before we brought him into rescue. The emergency clinic didnot want to release him until he was eating and drinking sufficiently. Lucas went home on Wed feeling like a brandnew pup! As a result of this event weare in urgent need of donations to help pay for his emergency expenses. Anyamount will help.....donations can be made via this chip-in, our website, or bycheck mailed to DFW Pup Patrol, P.O. Box 2467, Wylie, TX 75098. Thank you, DFWPup Patrol Rescue Team.
